Team Reservations

 Sign up for VPA events online by filling out the VPA Reservations form (watch the Tutorial Video).

Team entries will be submitted one at at time. The reservation window will close at 5pm on Wednesday prior to each event. Please be sure to sign up before the deadline. When the limit has been reached, your teams will be put on a wait list to fill if a spot opens. If you must cancel for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible. No-shows are responsible for the cost their entry.



If you are new to VPA and/or are having a hard time putting a team together, post to the VPA Rider Finder forum. This is a members only forum so if you are new to VPA just request to join and you'll be able to post.


Note: due to limited cattle availability for some events, we reserve the right to limit the amount of teams for such event. In this scenario, the registration form will close when the limit has been reached. 

Event Info

Events start 9 am (unless otherwise noted) depending on time of year, weather forecast, etc. Please check emails to verify event start times. 

Schedule:
  • 7:45 am - Check-In opens
  • 8:30 am - Check-In closes
  • 9:00 am - Event starts

All 2024 events will be held at the Santa Ynez Valley Equestrian Association arena. For directions or more information on the SYVEA visit their website at www.syvea.org

The format or dates of VPA events may change due to cattle availability or other restrictions. In the event of any changes, this website will be updated. If it’s a short notice change, VPA Members will be notified via Email/Newsblast. Please make sure VPA has your current email address.

Cost

Standard Events:


  • Penning Events - $65 per person, or $195 per team
  • Sorting Events - $50 per person, or $150 per team


Team Socials:


  • Penning Team Social - $60 per person, or $ 180 per team
  • Sorting Team Social - $45 per person, or $135 per team


* Should you decide to ride as a 2 man, you will still be responsible for the full amount of the go


Prices are as of 01/01/2024. Unless otherwise noted, you must be a current paid member to participate in all VPA Events and to receive awards. Please, make sure your membership fee is up-to-date BEFORE the event starts! All SYVEA non-members will be required to pay a $10 day fee.
